1. Acceptance of these terms
Who we are. ARANTRON is provided by Starcube Interactive Media Inc., a corporation registered in Canada (Corporation Number 1606667-4; Ontario Corporation Number 1000904886), operating from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Starcube Interactive Media Inc.
You accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy by ticking the agreement box when you create an account, by purchasing or activating a plan, or by otherwise using ARANTRON — whichever happens first. When you tick the box we record the date and the version of these documents you accepted on your account. If we make material changes, we may ask you to accept the updated version before you continue. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company.
ARANTRON is a business service. You may use it only for business purposes, and only if you are old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
2. The service
ARANTRON is a builder portal that turns a 3D CAD model into an interactive, embeddable product configurator. It includes the account portal, the tools to configure colors/options/pricing/materials/hotspots, hosting for published configurators, and a downloadable export for self-hosting on higher tiers.
We keep improving ARANTRON and may add, change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll give you reasonable notice.
3. Accounts
- You must sign up with a real business (work) email address — personal webmail and disposable addresses are not accepted.
- New accounts are subject to manual approval before full access is granted.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
- A paid account can include up to 5 people in total (the account owner plus colleagues who use the same company email domain), each with a role of admin, editor or viewer. The account owner is responsible for who is invited and for what they do in the account, and may remove them at any time. The free trial is a single login.
- You must provide accurate account and company information, and keep it up to date.
4. Your content
You own what you upload. Your 3D models, textures, images, product data, and branding remain your property. By uploading them, you grant Starcube a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, render, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and, where you choose to publish or embed a configurator, to the shoppers who view it. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to train AI models or for any purpose beyond operating ARANTRON for you.
You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to upload and use whatever models, textures, and branding you provide, and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone else's intellectual property or other rights. If we receive a credible complaint that content infringes someone's rights, or we believe it breaks these terms or the law, we may remove or disable it and will tell you where we reasonably can.
You can export your leads as a CSV file at any time from your account.
5. Our property
Starcube owns the ARANTRON service, including the builder, the viewer and export software, the website, and the ARANTRON name, logo and branding. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to own any part of it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve ARANTRON without owing you anything.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that's illegal, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, or that you don't have the rights to use
- Upload viruses or other malicious code, or scrape, probe or test the service's security without our written permission
- Extract, copy, download or reuse the 3D models, textures or other files of a published configurator that you do not own, by any technical means
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits (project count, file size, or trial restrictions) other than through the plan you're actually on
- Use the service to build a competing 3D-configurator product
- Resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties as your own, or share your login with people outside your account's team
- Share our confidential pricing, quotes or plan details with third parties (see section 8)
- Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure, or attempt to access another account's data
- Use the quote-request/lead system to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Modify, disable or work around the license verification, branding or quote-request delivery of an exported configurator (see section 7)
7. Downloaded and self-hosted copies
On plans that include it, you may download a standalone copy of a configurator you built and host it on your own website. We license that copy to you; we don't sell it, and ownership of the software in it stays with Starcube. Your content inside it remains yours (section 4).
- Scope of the license. The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable. It covers the website(s) you list for that project in the builder — or, if you list none, your own websites — and lasts only while your account and plan are active.
- What you may not do. Modify, decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise alter the code of the exported file; remove, disable, bypass or tamper with its license verification, quote-request delivery or any attribution or branding it carries; copy, redistribute, resell or sublicense it, or host it for anyone else; or use it to build another configurator, or more configurators than your plan allows, outside the builder. This applies even where it is technically possible to do so — technical measures such as minified code and the license check are an additional safeguard, not a substitute for these terms.
- License verification. When a self-hosted copy loads, it contacts our servers with its project ID and the hostname of the website it is running on, so we can confirm the project is active and that the website is authorized. If we determine the copy is not licensed for that website or project, it may stop displaying. If our servers can't be reached it may keep working; that doesn't change your obligations under these terms.
- If these terms are breached. We may suspend or terminate the account, disable or remove published and downloaded configurators associated with it, and pursue any other remedy available to us under the law.
8. Plans, free trial & billing
- Free trial. New accounts get a free 14-day trial (1 project, up to 25MB) — no payment method required. The trial starts on the day we approve your account. The trial is provided "as is" and may be limited or ended if we suspect abuse.
- After the trial. Once the trial ends, your published configurator's preview link stops working and new projects/uploads are paused, but your existing work is kept, not deleted, so you can continue once you choose a paid plan.
- Paid plans. Paid plans (a flat monthly price per model set by its type of model or product, with an optional analytics layer and optional one-time setup services) are summarised on our Pricing page and shown in full, for your vehicles, in the Plans section of your account. Tracked sessions above the amount included with the analytics layer may be charged at the rate shown there.
- How you buy. Until online checkout is available, paid plans are set up manually after you contact us, and no online payment is processed without your explicit go-ahead. When online checkout is available, orders are processed by our payment partner Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record: Paddle takes payment, issues the invoice and collects the applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's checkout terms.
- Renewal and cancellation. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time yourself from the Billing section of your Profile in the app, or by contacting us; for a plan change, contact us. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and your plan stays active until then.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods by giving you at least 30 days' notice. A change never affects a period you've already paid for, and you can cancel before it takes effect if you don't agree.
- Refunds. Unused subscription fees and certain one-time service fees can be refunded on request. Section 10 sets out when, and how to ask. Refund requests go through us at billing@starcubeinteractive.com.
- Failed or late payment. If a payment fails or is overdue, we may suspend the account after notice until it is paid. Your work is kept while the account is suspended.
- Taxes. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST/HST, which is calculated for your location at checkout.
- Confidential pricing. The pricing, plan options, quotes, discounts and service rates we show you in your account, in a quote or in any discussion with us are our confidential information. You agree to use them only to evaluate and manage your own subscription and not to disclose them to any third party, other than your own employees, accountants and professional advisers who need to know them and are bound to keep them confidential, or where the law requires it. This obligation continues after your account ends.
9. Setup, conversion and build services
CAD conversion, configuration and done-for-you build services are quoted per project. Each quote sets out the scope, the price and an estimated timeline. Timelines are estimates and depend on you providing complete, usable files and timely feedback. Work outside the quoted scope is quoted separately. One-time service fees can be refunded within 72 hours of payment, before work starts, and are not refunded after that, except as set out in section 10. We may decline files we are unable to convert or have no right to use. You keep ownership of your source files and the resulting configurator content (section 4); we keep our own tools, methods and know-how.
10. Refunds and cancellation
Online orders are processed by our payment partner Paddle, the merchant of record, which takes payment, issues your invoice and collects the applicable taxes. This section is our refund policy. Refunds are not automatic: every refund request is reviewed and approved by us. Please send your request to us, not to Paddle, so that it reaches the people who can decide it. Refunds we approve are paid out through Paddle.
- Try before you buy. Every new account gets a free 14-day trial, starting the day we approve it (one model, no payment method needed), so you can build and test a real configurator on your own file before you pay anything.
- Cancelling a subscription. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time yourself from the Billing section of your Profile in the app, or by contacting us. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, your plan stays active until then, and you are not charged again.
- Unused subscription fees. Subscription fees you have paid for time you have not used can be refunded on request. For a monthly plan this is the unused part of the current month. For a yearly plan it is the full months of the year that have not started, at the price you paid per month. When a subscription is refunded, access can end at the same time.
- Customized service terms (one-time fees). Model conversion, configuration setup, interior passes and done-for-you builds are quoted per project.
- 72-hour cancellation window. You can cancel an order for these services and receive a full refund if you ask within 72 hours of paying for it and we have not started the work.
- Once work has begun. When we have started scoping, engineering or customizing for you, or when the 72 hours have passed, the fee is non-refundable.
- If we cannot deliver. If we decline your file, or tell you we cannot deliver the service, you pay nothing for it and any amount already paid for it is refunded in full. In exceptional cases where a customization cannot be delivered because of our own technical constraints, we may, at our discretion, refund part or all of the fee.
- Mistakes and legal rights. We will always correct a billing mistake, such as a duplicate charge, a charge after a cancellation took effect, or a wrong amount, and refund it, including the tax charged on it. Nothing in this section limits a right to a refund or cancellation that the law that applies to you gives you and that cannot be limited by contract.
- How to ask. Email billing@starcubeinteractive.com from your account email with your Paddle order or invoice number (it is on your receipt), what happened, and the amount you are asking about. Please ask as soon as you notice the problem.
- How we decide. Refunds are not issued automatically. We review every request, and we may ask what did not work for you and whether there is something we can fix or change instead. We will give you our decision within two weeks of receiving your request.
- How refunds are paid. Approved refunds are issued through Paddle to the payment method used for the order, in the currency you paid in. Your bank or card provider decides how long it takes to show up, usually 5 to 10 business days. Paddle remains the merchant of record for the order, and its checkout terms also apply to your purchase.
11. Service availability and support
We aim to keep ARANTRON reliable, but the service is provided without an uptime guarantee except where separately agreed in an Enterprise contract with an SLA. We may need to perform maintenance, and third-party infrastructure we depend on (hosting, email delivery) can itself have outages outside our control. We provide support by email on a reasonable-efforts basis.
12. Leads and your shoppers
When you publish a configurator, its "request a quote" form is your own — submissions become leads visible only in your account. You are responsible for your own privacy notice and legal compliance toward the shoppers who use your published configurator, including any obligations about how you use or contact them after receiving their information.
A published configurator records visitor behaviour for your analytics dashboard (see our Privacy Policy). Where the law requires it, you are responsible for telling your visitors about this and for any consent you need, for example in your own website's privacy notice and cookie banner. Starcube acts only as your service provider in collecting and delivering that data to you, and on request we will enter into a data processing agreement with you.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using ARANTRON and request account closure at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, remains unapproved, or is inactive on the free trial past its window; where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first, but we may act immediately if the use is illegal or puts the service or other customers at risk.
When an account ends, your published configurators stop working and any license for downloaded copies ends. We'll retain your data for a reasonable period in case you wish to reactivate, then delete it upon request or after an extended period of inactivity, except where we're required to keep records for legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should continue (including 4, 5, 8 (Confidential pricing), 14 to 17 and 19) survive termination.
14. Disclaimers
ARANTRON is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your particular requirements. Price estimates shown by a published configurator are generated from the information you enter; you are responsible for their accuracy and for any quote you send to a shopper.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starcube Interactive Media Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the first claim arose (or CAD $100 if you're on a free trial). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies.
16. Indemnity
You agree to defend and compensate Starcube and its officers, employees and contractors against third-party claims, and the related losses and reasonable legal costs, that arise from content you upload or publish, your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law, or your dealings with your own shoppers. We will tell you promptly about the claim and give you reasonable help in dealing with it.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you have a dispute with us, please first write to us at the contact address below so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If that does not work, the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we agree to submit to them.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above when we do. For material changes we'll notify active account holders, by email or in the portal, at least 30 days before they take effect where we reasonably can. Continuing to use ARANTRON after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and any quote or order we accept in writing are the whole agreement between you and us about ARANTRON. If you have signed a separate Enterprise agreement with us, it prevails over these terms where they conflict.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
- If part is unenforceable. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If either of us delays in enforcing a right, that is not a waiver of it.
- Events beyond our control. Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of internet or cloud infrastructure, natural disasters or government action. This does not excuse a payment owed.
- Trade compliance. You confirm that you are not on a Canadian, US or other applicable sanctions list and that you will not use the service in breach of export or sanctions laws.
- Notices. We may send notices to the email address on your account or in the portal. You may send notices to us at the contact address below. You agree to receive notices electronically.
- Relationship. We are independent contractors. These terms don't create a partnership, employment or agency relationship.
